The headline theme of the week is agents moving from novelty to normal — from answering questions to actually completing work.

•     AI agents go live — Gartner projects 40% of enterprise applications will have embedded AI agents by year-end, up from under 5% in 2025.

•     AI arrives in your daily tools — Claude Cowork, ChatGPT Work, and Slack + Salesforce integrations bring AI inside the apps teams already rely on, cutting manual handoffs and speeding approvals.

•     Infrastructure scales up — HPE and NVIDIA expanded their AI Factory with the Vera CPU for agent orchestration, an Agent Toolkit, and new Blackwell GPUs for enterprise-scale agentic workloads.

•     The model race stays flat-out — OpenAI shipped GPT-5.6, xAI pushed Grok 4.5, and Meta's Muse Spark 1.1 landed with a one-million-token context window.

•     Anthropic overtakes OpenAI on revenue — Anthropic is on course for roughly $47 billion in annualized revenue and profitability in 2026.

One to watch: Chinese AI models now drive an estimated 30–46% of enterprise API usage flowing through US developer platforms — a supply-chain and governance question worth tracking.

Radar: the gap AI leaves behind

The same week, the security world collided with AI head-on — and a run of critical, actively-exploited flaws demanded immediate attention.

•     Adobe ColdFusion — exploited now — CVE-2026-48282 is under active exploitation; CISA has urged organisations to patch immediately and watch for unusual activity.

•     Ubiquiti UniFi — CVSS 10.0 — Bulletin 066 disclosed 25 vulnerabilities, headlined by CVE-2026-50746, a perfect-10 unauthenticated command-injection flaw.

•     BeyondTrust — authentication bypass — Four flaws in Remote Support and Privileged Remote Access, including two auth-bypass bugs; upgrade now and enforce phishing-resistant MFA.

•     Accenture breach — A threat actor known as “888” claims to have stolen roughly 35GB of source code, SSH/RSA keys, and Azure access tokens.

•     AI becomes the attack surface — Prompt-injection attacks turned chatbots into command-and-control agents, five major AI coding assistants fell to a single pattern, and thousands of exposed MCP servers were discovered.

Also on the radar: RabbitMQ CVE-2026-5721 (CVSS 8.7) can leak the OAuth secret to unauthenticated callers in certain configurations.

Why it matters

Put the two lists side by side and the pattern is unmistakable: AI is entering production faster than security and governance can keep up. Every new agent, integration, and model is also new attack surface — and this week attackers proved they're already probing it.
